Power Generation & Micro Hydro Turbines

All hydro electricity is generated with hydro electric turbines and a generator. The hydro electric generator is connected to the turbines via a shaft. There are many types of hydro electric turbines. There are head turbines and kinetic turbines that generate hydro electric power. As water passes through the hydro electric turbines, the shaft spins the generator. This shaft is subjected to a tremendous amount of torque. This torque, in the form of hydro power, is what causes the magnets in the hydro electric generator to rotate. The rotation of the magnets inside the micro hydro turbine coils causes the magnetic field to move across the coils generating hydro electricity. Once the hydro electricity has been generated, there are many uses for the energy. Some of the common uses of hydro electric energy are for homes, businesses and industry. Hydro electricity is a form of renewable energy and is non polluting.
