Conventional Hydropower

The turbine is the heart of the hydro system, where
water power is converted into the rotational force that drives
the generator. It is arguably the most important component in
the system, because its efficiency determines how much electricity
is generated.
Hydro Green Energy's kinetic Hydropower Turbine Arrays operate differently than
a traditional hydropower plant. Like a traditional hydropower
station, the electricity that we produce is clean and renewable,
however, there are significant differences. Hydro Green Energy's
Krouse Turbines are kinetic turbines. This means that the renewable
power that is generated comes from the energy in the “motion”
of the moving water, i.e. the velocity of the moving water be it river, tidal or
ocean current to generate river, tidal energy or ocean energy, respectively. Since
the Hydro Green Energy Hydropower Turbine Arrays are inexpensive to manufacture,
they can be engineered and designed for many different types of
conditions and they produce the lowest cost hydropower comercially available. Hydropower Turbine Arrays can be used to generate renewable
energy in rivers, irrigation canals, tidal energy, and ocean enery. Another significant
advantage to using Hydro Green Energy's Hydropower Turbine Arrays is that
there is no harm to the environment. The amount of environmental
damage due to infrastructure creation and modification is significantly
reduced with Hydropower Turbine Arrays compared to other kinetic hydropower
designs and especially when compared to traditional hydropower.
