TIDAL ENERGY OR TIDAL POWER

Tidal energy or tidal power is a form of hydrokinetic power. All coastal areas consistently experience two high and two low tides over a period of slightly greater than 24 hours. Tidal power projects convert the energy of tides into electricity or other useful forms of power.
Tidal power is more predictable and more efficient than wind energy and solar power. The stronger the tide, either in water level height or tidal current velocities, the greater the potential for tidal energy generation. Although not yet widely used, tidal power has great potential worldwide. Hydro Green Energy is presently in the early stages of two tidal power projects in the United States and is beginning to explore a tidal presence in the United Kingdom.
